PROGRAMS
Overview
Our programs are targeted towards our growing membership and the community. These programs encourage members to continue to seek professional growth and leadership opportunities. Through professional development and training, mentoring, community service and healthy living-- YSPNA strongly believes excellence can be achieved holistically through mind, body and soul.
Mentoring
Capitalizing on a strong membership with stellar academic achievements – YSPNA will establish a “Big Brother/Big Sister” type program where young Somali high school students are paired with our members. These members are responsible for mentoring and giving guidance these aspiring young leaders. Also, members who are actively affiliated with their Alma maters will arrange a college visit once a year for high school students in the mentoring program.
